Case Navigation

Cases may be navigated using the case toolbar or by selecting the appropriate case area from the program's Case Menu which appears when a case has been opened.

Case Details

The essential building blocks of your Advocate Case are setup here. The names of parties involved, jurisdictions, cause of action, etc. are setup here. Click here for details on the Case Details Setup.

Deposition Q&A

To enter specific questions for your witnesses, you must first setup witnesses on the witness list. Once you have entered witnesses, you use this Deposition Q&A utility to build question lists for use in depositions and at trial.

Discovery Minder

The DiscoveryMinder is a database designed specifically for keeping records of documents and other items related to discovery. Items may be duplicated in DocuMinder's database of all case documents.

Docket Minder

The DocketMinder is for storing essential dates related to court appearances. These items may be exported to Outlook's Appointment book and Task's List.

Docu Minder

The DocuMinder stores all essential documents related to your case. It includes functions which allow you to open and view files, filter by document type, filed status and more.

E-Mail

The Advocate E-Mail database lets you import Outlook E-Mail messages pertaining to your case so that these items are stored with your case during development.

Exhibits

The Exhibits database lets you catalog specific items to be presented at trial.

Jury Selection

The Jury Selection tool is used for notetaking during the jury selection process.

Mail Database

The Mail and Overnight Mail database helps you keep track of correspondence sent out regarding your case. It also provides the ability to track pieces sent via Federal Express, Airborne or UPS.

Meds

The Meds manager keeps track of medical treatments, payments, disabilities, etc.

Parties

The Parties Database is essentially the same as your Advocate Contacts database except that it is for keeping parties involved only in this specific case.

Research

Research records from on and offline legal research may be stored here.

Telephone Call Tracker

This Telephone Call Tracking feature keeps your conversation logs of all calls placed using the dialer or incoming phone call timer.

To-Do List

The Case To-Do List keeps items specifically for the case opened. Items may be exported to the Law Partner Task Manager or Microsoft Outlook.

Witness List

The Witness List is used to keep individuals to be called as witnesses for your case. These items are automatically added to your Parties Involved database-- and individuals entered as Witnesses in the Parties Involved Database are automatically added to your witness list.
